Retirement Living on the Mid North Coast NSW

Over 55s coastal retirement village

With beautiful beaches, national parks, things to do like day trips, whale watching, bowling and markets. It’s an area to enjoy exploring, relaxing and spending time with friends and family.

Located midway between Foster and Taree is the coastal area of Hallidays Point and Black Head Beach

Black Head Beach is a multi-award winning beach under the Keep Australia Beautiful Program. It is patrolled during summer and regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the Manning Valley. It features shady Norfolk Island Pines, an ocean pool, excellent fishing opportunities, picnic areas, and barbecues – it is also just a few minutes walk from Halliday Shores Retirement Village.

Meander along the rainforest walk which encompasses striking coastal landforms and rare tracts of littoral rainforest, a must for nature lovers and keen photographers.

Black Head has a supermarket, cafés, bowling club, and surf lifesaving club. The Black Head Markets (Black Head Bazaar) are held in Wylie Breckenridge Park on the first Sunday of the month, from September to May.

Forster is just 15 minutes away from the Halliday Shores retirement village

Like Black Head, Foster is another jewel on the mid north coast.  Here you can enjoy many day trips and activities: dolphin and whale cruises, fishing, sailboarding and scuba diving are among the water activities in Forster,  in the marvellous Great Lakes region. Few places offer such a superb choice of fishing, from deep-sea charters to lake, rock and river or beach fishing. Amble along the Bicentennial Trail, sample fresh local oysters farmed in Wallis Lake and explore Booti Booti National Park, a narrow isthmus between the lake and the sea.

For spectacular views, climb the stairs of Cape Hawke lookout in the national park. Whales migrate along the coast of NSW between May and November.

The town is by the Manning River, a popular waterway for fishing, boating and rowing. It holds events like the popular Easter Powerboat Spectacular. Taree Airport is 5 km from Taree’s town centre.

Halliday Shores Retirement Village is situated at Hallidays Point, Black Head and is one of the few Retirement Communities right next to the beach. With luxury retirement villas even some with ocean views.

This really is the very best of both worlds – quiet, coastal, community living within close proximity to every essential service and amenity, including hospitals and medical facilities + plenty of leisure activities, Great Lakes, National Parks and shops, cafes, clubs and restaurants.
